It should be noted that when one or both external hard drives were connected to a USB port with NTFS For Mac enabled, system crashes occurred at intervals of 15 minutes to half an hour after each recovery from a previous crash. Below is a copy of my latest system crash report. At this point I have the external hard drives connected to the USB ports with NTFS For Mac disabled and have not experienced any system crashes. One factor that I can verify without a doubt - as soon as NTFS For Mac is disabled through System Preferences, the system crashes stop.

I’ve conducted several tests using two different brand 1TB external hard drives connected to two different side-by-side USB ports (which, by the way caused no problems whatsoever until my recent upgrade to Paragon NTFS For Mac Version 14.2.359. It’s taken awhile to track down the cause of these crashes but I finally found what appears to be the culprit - Paragon’s NTFS For Mac Version 14.2.359. I’ve been experiencing a somewhat regular series of system crash events for the past few months. Software Application: Paragon NTFS For Mac Version 14.2.359

Also, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, OS X 10.5 Leopard are supported in NTFS for Mac 12, but all purchasers of NTFS for Mac 14 do get a license of NTFS for Mac 12 automatically, so that you can install either version 12 or 14. Please note folks: NTFS for Mac 14 only supports OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks, 10.10 Yosemite and 10.11 El Capitan. Think of the possibilities! Now you can use an external hard drive to share files between your Windows machine and your Mac! All of those video source files that have been trapped in your Windows computer can now be read by your Mac! And you get all of this with absolutely no impact to your Mac's performance! The dream of cross-platform file access is now a reality with Paragon NTFS for Mac. With support for all versions of the Windows NTFS file system, even Windows 8 and 8.1, you'll have no problem working with any Windows machine. Paragon NTFS for Mac gives you full read/write access to NTFS partitions with the same speed and finesse that you're used to under HFS+! With Paragon NTFS for Mac, you'll be able to instantly access and modify any and all Windows files and folders from your Mac.
You can read data on an NTFS partition, but that's about it. Macs are wonderful, but here's the thing - when you have that occasion to have to create, delete, or modify files and folder on Windows NTFS partitions, you can't! It's true - the NTFS format, which is the primary file system of any Windows machine, is pretty much locked off from Macs.
